*Matt is fully booked in Port Elgin and now accepting new clients in Kincardine* Hi, my name is Matt Minty and I am a Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have been seeing clients since 2022, and I am curious, supportive, and understanding.

I work with clients ranging from late teens to seniors. Some of the more common topics I support clients with include depression, processing childhood trauma, anxiety, navigating careers, life transitions (moving, schooling, etc.), relationships, borderline personality disorder, and addictions amongst others.

My primary therapy techniques include cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness techniques, solution-focused approaches, and motivational interviewing. I will work with you to find the best approaches for your individual concerns. We will collaborate to identify and challenge maladaptive thought patterns, and to help you to form healthier behaviours and thoughts.

I completed a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2023, which focuses on CBT techniques. I have taken additional training in Motivational Interviewing and am always looking for areas to grow.
